For the second year, we welcomed two high-school students from the Science Académie during three days (April 19-21). The aim is to make them discover how a research lab looks like, how scientific questions arise, and how researchers work to find models and experiments to answer them. We discussed a lot about several topics in genomics and bioinformatics: sequence alignment, genome annotation, database/website managment, wheat genomics and transposable element dynamics.
The Science Académie is a program of the association Paris Montagne .
