General terms and conditions for using the Plant Bioinformatics facility (PlantBioinfoPF) services

The Plant Bioinformatics facility offers different types of services and resources to its users:

  • Data integration in the GnpIS information system:
    • Data access can be public (by default under a  Creative Commons CC-BY license) or restricted to a consortium whose members receive a login and password from the Plant Bioinformatics facility. The data retention period is defined in the consortium agreements of formal projects or in the application form of a data integration request. Data considered to be INRAE's heritage (genetic resources, phenotyping data) are stored permanently. However, no commitment can be made regarding data accessibility in the event of closure or reorganization of the URGI platform or unit.
    • A data management plan, taking into account a possible obsolescence of the data is elaborated via the application form .
  • Provision of computing and storage resources :
    • The results obtained using Plant Bioinformatics facility’s computing and storage resources are the exclusive property of the applicant, who will also have full control over their archiving and valorization. However, the Plant Bioinformatics facility must be cited in the acknowledgements of any publication associated with the results obtained: see citation instructions .
    • Data storage and archiving is free for 6 months, renewable once on request. Beyond this period, a charged contract is established.
  • Trainings
    • The conditions for enrolling and attending a training course are announced in advance.
    • The platform is not an accredited training organization and provides training courses designed to pass on its knowledge in its areas of expertise to research and development players.
  • Websites providing access to the services and resources offered by the Plant Bioinformatics facility: the general terms of use of these sites are described below.

The Plant Bioinformatics facility (PlantBioinfoPF) has a Data Management Plan (DOI : 10.15454/9HM5UI ).
