Computer hardware
URGI servers are dedicated to bioinformatics: data storage, databases/information systems and high-throughput computing in a secure environment.
They are hosted in the INRAE DataCenter in Ile-de-France (near Paris).
Our infrastructure mainly relies on a Proxmox Virtual Environnement / Ceph storage solution for the software part.
Here are some details about the computing ressources backing our services:
- Proxmox Virtual Environnement / Ceph
- Compute:
- 13 compute servers in PVECluster
- 1896 logical CPU cores
- 6.3 TB RAM
- Storage Ceph for virtual machines, data and databases (about 450 TB effective - A replication factor of 3 is already taken into account):
- 7 servers dedicated to Ceph storage
- 433 TB effective Ceph HDD capacitive storage
- 19 TB effective Ceph flash performant storage
- Compute:
- Network
- 10 Gb/s RENATER internet link
- Facility
- Data Center INRAE IDF
- Air conditioning
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
- Access control
- Fire security
