• Description: This study investigates the gene expression differences in flower tissue between the purple-flowered wild type M. l. variegatus (RC6) and the white-flowered RNAi transformant (Vrnai1), where the candidate petal anthocyanin regulator gene, Myb5a, is targeted. By using the RNA-seq data of petal tissues in the two lines, we want to find out the regulatory changes and structural gene expression changes in the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway following the Myb5a knock-down.
