• Description: Drought responsive gene expression profiles of tea drought-tolerant and susceptible cultivars remain largely unexplored. The transcriptome of drought-tolerant (UPASI-9) and susceptible tea cultivar (TRF-1) was studied using mRNA-Seq. To obtain the comprehensive overview of genes involved in drought tolarance in tea, Two cultivars namely UPASI-9 control and UPASI-9 test, drought tolarance clone (DT), TRF-1 control and TRF-1 test drought susceptiable (DS) clone were sampled and subjected to paired-end transcriptome sequencing.
