Description
Mesocotyl is a very important organ for pushing buds out of soil after germination in maize. Deep seeding can improve adaption to water scarcity environment, but requires long mesocotyl of maize. Auxin has important function on mesocotyl elongation, however, the gene network involved in this process remains elusive. Here, we performed a genome-wide transcriptomic analysis of mesocotyl elongation with or without treatment of auxin in maize. The findings would be helpful to understand the mechanism of auxin-induced mesocotyl elongation in plants.
