Description
A genetic linkage map was developed from of a cross between an acessions of each of two Avena species A. strigosa x A. wiestii (both diploid oats designated as having A genomes). The cross and population and a previous map are described by Kremer et al 2001 (https://doi.org/10.1139/g00-115). A subset of 96 Recombinant Inbred lines were screened for genotyping-by-sequencing polymorphisms using a double restriction (PstI and MspI similar to Poland et al. 2012. Plos One 7:e32253). Note that in GBS reads, the barcodes are ligated within the sequence reads. Thus in the fastq files, sequence prior to the PstI restriction site (CTGCAG) is the barcode. Barcode sequences for each run are included in the description field accompanying each fastq file.
