Description
Pinellia ternata is native to China and used as traditional herb endowed with antiemetic, antitussive, analgesic and anxiolytic effects for thousands of years. It is always to form the sprout tumble when exposing to strong light and high temperature in the growth process, which largely limits the tuber production. It is found shade could delay the sprout tumble formation (STF), however, the related molecular information is still remains unclear. The full-length transcripts generated in this study provide a more accurate depiction of gene transcription of P. ternata. We identified potential genes involved in STF and tuber growth. These data present a genetic resource and lay a foundation for further research in this important traditional herb.
