Dataset of banana transcriptome in response to endophyte bacteria inoculation prior to Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense tropical race 4 (Foc TR4) infection
We report the first data of RNA sequencing of banana Musa acuminata cv. Pisang ambon kuning (AAA group) inoculated by two different endophyte bacteria named Stenothropomonas nitritireducens (BR-49) and Kocuria rhizophila (SL-08), respectively, prior to Fusarium oxysprorum f.sp. cubense tropical race 4 (Foc TR4). Overall design: mRNA isolated from root of Foc TR4 infected banana plantlet grown in split root assay. Endophyte bacteria are inoculated into endophyte compartment prior to Foc TR4 infection in Fusarium compartment of split root assay. We have one treatment (endophyte inoculation and Foc TR4 infection) and three different control groups (positive control: endophyte inoculation, no Foc TR4 infection; negative control: no endophyte inoculation, Foc TR4 infection; and neutral control: no endophyte inoculation and no Foc TR4 infection) for each endophyte bacteria species (BR-49 and SL-08). We also have 4 time points: 72 hours after endophyte inoculation (72E) and 6 (6EF), 24 (24EF), and 72 hours (72EF) after Foc TR4 infection of endophyte bacteria preinoculated banana plantlet. Composite of mRNA samples from three biological replicates ere examined.
