Description
Papaya leaf-distortion mosaic virus (PLDMV) is the main cause of viral disease in papaya currently. As chitosan can prevent the growth of plant pathogenic bacteria cells and induce the host plant to protect against pathogenic bacteria, it can reduce the harm from pathogens and inhibit pathogenic fungi, bacteria, viruses and viroids. The mechanisms of chitosan antiviral activity are believed to be the recognition of CTS by plant cells. It triggers a series of defense reactions in plant cells. There are few studies about the inhibitory effect of CTS-N on PLDMV. Plants can defend themselves against the invasion of pathogens through the immune system. The gene expression profiles of the papaya immune response to PLDMV disease have not been reported. PLDMV is one of the factors that cannot be ignored in the development of the papaya industry. However, the effective prevention and control of PLDMV cannot be achieved at present. Therefore, a study on the gene expression of papaya immune response is of great significance for the prevention and control of disease. In this experiment, CTS-N was applied to PLDMV. The aim of this study was to explore the gene expression of the CTS-N-induced immune response in papaya resistant mosaic disease. This study indicates the resistance mechanism of papaya using gene expression levels and provides a valuable reference for the prevention and control of PLDMV.
