Description
TCP transcription factors are key regulators of angiosperm cell division processes. To analyse whether their roles are conserved, we examined the function of MpTCP1, the single TCP-P gene in the liverwort Marchantia polymorpha, one of the earliest diverging land plants. We generated knockout lines for MpTCP1 (Mptcp1ge) and compared transcriptome changes of thallus and archegoniophore tissue upon loss of MpTCP1 against the wild type.
