Description
Fruit development is a crucial process in crops. A multi-silique trait in rapeseed (Brassica napus) was investigated on genomic level. A homozygous multi-silique rapeseed population, “zws-ms”, as well as its near-isogenic line “zws-217” (normal silique) were studied to reveal the associated regions on chromosomes. Thirty plants from each population (zws-ms and zws-217) were sampled at full-bloom stage. DNAs were isolated from fresh leaves respectively. Then, equal quantities of 30 samples from each sample were mixed and two DNA pools (R01: multi-silique pool; R02: normal silique pool) were obtained by bulked segregant analysis (BSA) method. The two DNA pools were then investigated by whole genome re-sequencing (WGR) on Illumina HiSeq system. Data such as SNPs, InDels and gene annotations were then obtained and analyzed.
