• Description: Syntrichia caninervis is desiccation-tolerant moss and the dominant bryophyte of the Biological Soil Crusts (BSCs) found in both the Mojave and Gurbantunggut deserts. Gametophytes were collected from the Gurbantunggut Desert in Xinjiang, China. A mixture of gametophores from various dehydration and rehydration time points were used to construct the comprehensive RNA-seq library.
