Description
<![CDATA[Papaver (P. rhoeas (Corn poppy), and P. nudicaule (Iceland poppy)) are the ornamental andmedicinal plants, which also used as a source for isolating the alkaloid drugs. In this study,700 Mb of transcriptome sequences generated by PacBio sequencing, which assembled into120,926 contigs. The 1,185 (82.2%) BUSCO core genes were completely present in ourassembled transcriptome. Using 128 Gb of Illumina sequences, the transcript expressionprofile assessed for different plant growth stages at three different time points (30, 60, and 90days). Resulted in 137 differentially expressed transcripts. Furthermore, the secondarymetabolite pathway profile derived from Papaver transcriptome, along with 51 genomesusing ortholog analysis. Finally, 49 transcripts for 21 orthologs in Isoquinoline alkaloidbiosynthesis pathway (BIA), along with 16 different alkaloids (quantified with LC-QTOF-MS/MS), are mapped into the KEGG map0950. Collectively, the transcriptome along withthe expression profiles and quantitative metabolites profiles will give the primaryobservation of Papaver species (P. rhoeas, and P. nudicaule) secondary metabolites and itsmolecular function concerning plant growth stages. Moreover, these profiles could help forfurther details functional characterization for the various problem associated with these
