Short-term grafting effect on characteristic metabolites variations in leaves of grafted tea, Camellia sinensis
We grafted the shoots from excellent local cultivar “Camellia sinensis cv. Xianghongdian 1” into the rootstocks of low-yield local tea plants “Camellia sinensis cv. Qimenzhong”. And leaves germinated from the one-year-old graftings were collected for transcriptome analysis with the controls of leaves germinated from the rootstocks and scions. Using BGISEQ-500 platform, totally 59.31 Gb of clean data from 9 samples with an average of 6.59 Gb per sample were obtained in this study. On the average, about 73.04% of the reads could be mapped to tea reference genomic sequence.
