Description
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are able to form mutualistic symbiosis with most land plants, and providing mineral nutrients to plants in exchange for photosynthates. Citrus trees have rare root hairs and thus heavily rely on AMF for nutrient uptake from soil. In this study, we performed a comprehensive identification of miRNAs involved in the mycorrhizal symbiosis through Illumina sequencing in a mostly used citrus rootstock, trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliate L. Raf.)
