Description
To identify genes involved in Mn transport or utilization, we carried out a forward genetic screen on an EMS-mutagenized population in the nramp1 background. NRAMP2 was finally cloned by whole genome sequencing, which was involved in Mn utilization in cell under Mn-deficient condition.
