Description
In the present study we have assessed, by transcriptional profiling, the systemic defense response of Zea mays plants to the ear rotting pathogen Fusarium verticilioides induced by the beneficial fungus Trichoderma atroviride Overall design: Four treatments with 3 samples (biological replicates): Maize silk samples were inoculated with one, two or none fungal species: Trichoderma (T) and/or Fusarium (F). Minus (m) means no inoculation and and Plus (p) means inoculation. Thus, we have four different treatments TmFm that correspond to silk samples without any inoculation, TmFp means without Trichoderma inoculation but with Fusarium infection, TpFm Trichoderma inoculation and absence of Fusarium, TpFp both fungi present in the sample .
