Study : Solanum pimpinellifolium Transcriptome or Gene expression

Identification
Name
Solanum pimpinellifolium Transcriptome or Gene expression
Identifier

Description
The shifting from outcrossing to selfing was one of the most common evolutionary transition in flowering plants. To guarantee the selfing, it must lost the self-incompatibility and subsequently adjust the morphology of floral organs. The relevant characteristics included the position of stigma and anther, the size of stigma paeillae and the size of pollen grains. Studies in S. pimpinellifolium showed the phenotypic variations in floral morphology and in outcrossing rate. With the RNA-seq, one could glance the variants and the expression profile of related genes.
