Description
We adopted 454 RNA-Seq technology to survey the poly (A) transcriptome from four tissues cDNA libraries of the oil tea plant (Camellia oleifera) and identified the majority of genes associated with essential pathways related to lipid metabolism such as fatty acid and triacylglycerols (TAG) biosynthesis and catabolism pathway, and detected numerous SSRs, SNPs and Indels as well. The transcriptome dataset we obtained laid a solid foundation for future studies of gene expression and functional genomics in oil tea.
