Description
Glyphosate-resistant Kochia scoparia poses serious challenges to modern agricultural practices. The goal of this study was to determine the mechanism of glyphosate resistance in Kochia scoparia. By comparing gene expression in glyphosate-susceptible, -resistant, treated, and untreated individuals we found evidence that gene amplification of 5-enol-pyruvyl-shikimate-3-phosphate (EPSP) synthase may be the mechanism of glyphosate resistance in Kochia scoparia.
