• Description: One-year-old potted plantlets of P. tomentosa were grown under 16 h light and 8 h dark conditions in a greenhouse of Beijing Forestry University, Beijing, China (40°0′N, 116° 20′E). Seedlings were treated with exogenous 100 μmol•L-1 GA3 (Sigma-Aldrich, St. Louis, MO, USA)/(biodee, Beijing, China) by directly spraying on the leaves. The control plants were treated with water in the same manner. Mature leaves from the same position of control plants (CK) and gibberellin-treated plants (GA3) 6h after treatment were collected for RNA extraction.
