Description
Yellow lupine (Lupinus luteus L., Taper c.), like the other members of the family Fabaceae (Fabaceae L.), has enormous practical importance. The plant possesses a high content of storage proteins in seeds, which are used as a source of feed and thanks to symbiosis with bacteria that enable atmospheric nitrogen fixation and its use for the growth and development of plants, are a natural source of enriching the soil with nitrogen. Effective flowering requires the optimal time of induction which occurs in leaves. Consequently, proper formation and development of flowers and seeds of lupines are crucial for the productivity of the plants. Excessive abscission of L. luteus flowers and pods represents the important economical drawback. Detachment of generative organs takes place in the basis of pedicels, within specialized group of cells called abscission zone (AZ). During plant growth these cells become competent to respond on specific signals, thus initiating separation events and consequently leading to breakdown in cell wall adhesion. The aim of bioinformatics analysis was comparison of transcriptional activity between probes in order to type the differential expressed genes which could be a strong evidence of their key roles in the studied processes.
