• Description: This study is intended to define the root transcriptome of upland cotton, and compare gene expression of susceptible (DPL90 SG747), hypersensitive (LONREN 1), and resistant (BARBAREN 713) varieties of cotton during infestation by reniform nematode (Rotylenchulus reniformis). R. reniformis is a significant root endoparasitic nematode pathogen of cotton for which there are limited genetic resources. This study attempts to identify the critical genes for resistance within the limited available resources.
