Identification
Name
Zea mays subsp. mays Transcriptome or Gene expression
Identifier
dXJuOkVWQS9zdHVkeS9QUkpOQTI3NDMyMw==
Description
Our knowledge of zinc metabolism in plant by and large is based upon the yeast model and up to some extent on Arabidopsis. Thus, gene responsive to loading in maize kernel has not been studied so far which is prerequisite for understanding the molecular mechanism of zinc accumulation in maize kernel. This will help for increasing the zinc content in maize kernel either through conventional breeding by marker assistant selection or through transgenic technology by transferring the right gene
