Description
A transcriptional analysis investigated differences between three red-skinned and two white-skinned cultivars under well-watered and water deficit conditions: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Semillon. Grape berry skins were sampled and sequenced at the harvest time point. We aimed for a ˚Brix (soluble sugar) to titratable acidity ratio of 3.5. ˚Brix levels at harvest were ~24˚in each cultivar.
