• Description: High and low elevation genotypes of the bladder campion, Silene vulgaris (Caryophyllaceae), were planted in a reciprocal transplant experiment in two gardens in the French Alps (2100m, 700m). Leaf and flower samples were taken from each of the four genotypes at both gardens to determine the changes in gene expression due to elevation, genotype, and GxE. Our focal phenotype was the flavonoid pathway.
