• Description: In terms of genomic resources, Chinese red pine (Pinus tabuliformis) as an indigenous conifer tree species in northern China is relatively underdeveloped, in comparison to other Pinus species, thus limiting gene discovery and the process of breeding. In order to compensate for the lack of genomic information in P. tabuliformis, large scale transcriptome data were obtained by next-generation sequencing platform.
