Description
Orobanchaceae parasitic plants develop intrusive cells at the interface with host plant. Although this cell type is supposed to be important to invade and interact with host plants, molecular function is unknown. To gain insight into its function, we separately collected the intrusive region and the other part of haustorium (infectious organ) using laser micro dissection and performed RNA-seq in P. japonicum infecting rice roots.
