Description
We have studied tomato ripening regulation and have developed CRISPR/Cas9-mediated allelic mutations in the RIN locus, which encodes a transcription factor regulating ripening. To clarify the properties of the two allelic mutants, which were a knockout mutation (line 42) and a mutation generating an early stop codon at the amino acid position 200 while wild-type protein consisting of 242 a.a.(line G27), we performed next generation RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) analysis of the mutant fruits that were harvested at 35 days after pollination (before ripening) and about 45 days after pollination (during ripening).
