Description
Eustoma grandiflorum (Raf.) Shinn. is a quantitative long-day plants and native to grasslands from southern North America to northern South America and very popular as an ornamental cut flower crop. However, in regions limited exposure of sunshine during winter, retardation of plant growth and flowering of Eustoma plants for shipments in winter and spring is serious problems. Eustoma plants treated with Far-red (FR) light of only 3 hours at the end of the day (EOD) during winter seasons showed a longer main stem compared with untreated plants. In this study, we analyzed the transcriptome of leaf in Eustoma plants treated and untreated with EOD-FR.
