• Description: Wild rice Oryza alta plants are allotetraploids having CCDD genomes. Oryza alta is distinguished from Oryza latifolia by its large seed and wide leaf width, but these characters are expressed in continuous variation so that the relationship of the two species is not clear in many aspects. In order to obtain genome sequence information of the two species, we sequenced a total of three O. alta accessions by Illumina HiSeq 2500.
