Woodhall Dean, on the edge of the Lammermuir Hills, is an ancient semi-natural woodland dominated by Quercus petraea. Site is open access, reached via path on right just after bridge off Spott Loan, south of the village of Spott, East Lothian. It is owned and managed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust, historically it was subjected to coppicing which was last practiced in the 1880s. Permission to work must be obtained from SWT.
