Biennal. It is almost cylindrical, about 6 or 7 inches in length and 2 to 3 inches in diameter. The foliage is med. grn to red. green, rather narrow and smooth. The beet itself grows high out of the ground which means that harvest can take place rapidly. The color is blood red and almost free of zoning.
